Tip of the Week

Tip 3:

Check your cleats

With the wettest summer in memory over and us moving swiflty into a long winter it's time to check your cleats.

First off, check whether they need replacing. You will probably be aware of this already as you will have had trouble clipping and unclipping at those crucial moments. Look at the picture below and if your cleat looks anything like the one on the right it's time to replace them. You will be amazed at the difference a fresh pair makes.

Secondly, even if they don't need replacing yet or it will be a while before your new set arrives from Wiggle then it's still worth removing the cleat and re-greasing it. All that wet weather in direct contact with the bottom of your shoe will have worked it's way into the thread and it may need a liberal dose of WD40 and leaving for 30 minutes before it's loose enough to remove, grease and replace. You won't reget it!
